The summer music scene is taking shape, with tickets for one of the season's big festivals, the Governors Ball, going on sale today (the festival takes place early, the first weekend in June). The graphic above shows who's appearing, and as you'd expect tickets are going fast: three-day passes are already sold out, but single-day tickets are still available.

Concert Notes: Tickets for Garbage, Final Allman Bros. Show, The Killers, & More on Sale Friday

There are a couple of good second chances coming up for bands you may have missed before. The Allman Brothers Band has added one final show to its annual Beacon Theatre run, on St. Patrick's Day, and Shirley Manson and Garbage are returning to New York nine months after their sold-out show at Hammerstein Ballroom.

Garbage returns to New York on March 22nd.

Also, Jim James goes on tour to promote his first solo album,  The Killers are at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and She & Him (M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel) play Central Park SummerStage in July.

NYC Concert Notes: Tickets for Japandroids, Gaslight Anthem, Amanda Palmer, & More On Sale Fri.

CMJ will hit New York in less than a month, but tickets for some other great autumn shows are going on sale tomorrow, Sept. 21st. If you missed out on getting tickets for hot acts like Japandroids or The Gaslight Anthem, you'll be glad to know that shows have been added for these and other groups. See the list of concerts going on sale, with links to tickets, below.

As for events taking place this weekend, the big news is that the All Tomorrow's Parties festival is finally coming to New York City. "I'll Be Your Mirror," which is curated by ATP and Greg Dulli of the Afghan Whigs, takes place tomorrow through Sunday at Pier 36. Acts include Frank Ocean, the Afghan Whigs, The Roots, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and the Mark Lanegan Band. (Pier 36 is, the website says, "a new indoor venue sitting on the edge of the East River between the Manhattan & Williamsburg Bridges.")
  
Also tomorrow: If you're a Bon Iver fan, you'll want to watch a live webcast of their Radio City Music Hall show Friday night at 9:15 p.m. at Bowery Presents.

Tickets for My Morning Jacket's Five-Day Run at Terminal 5 on Sale Fri., 6/18

My Morning Jacket is joining the performing-albums-live trend at New York's Terminal 5 in October, and tickets for all shows go on sale tomorrow, June 18th, at 12 Noon.

In a period of six days in late October the Louisville, Kentucky band will perform five shows, each featuring one its full-length studio albums, "along with additional songs and covers from each album’s time period." You can buy tickets for each My Morning Jacket show individually, or get a five-show pass. Here's the schedule:

Just a few shows in the NYC area that are going on sale Saturday, May 5th that I know of. They're at the two arena-sized summer venues, Jones Beach and PNC Bank Center. All are going on sale at 10 a.m.

NYC Concerts On Sale: The National, Rihanna with Ke$ha, Greg Laswell, More

There aren't as many concerts going on sale lately as in previous weeks, but the good news is that the summer season of free concerts is underway. SummerStage began its schedule on June 1st with two shows, and as I've written before it's offering shows in all five boroughs this year (and maybe in future years).

Here's a selection of a few concerts on sale Friday, June 4th:

Arcade Fire Announces North American Tour Dates (Some with Spoon)

Arcade Fire has posted new tour dates! Just a couple days ago I wrote about their upcoming album "The Suburbs" and noted that they had very few North American gigs listed, and yesterday they announced new dates in the U.S. All the gigs shown below are from the Merge Records Arcade Fire tour page. Presales for some of the dates became live at 10 a.m. Eastern time today. (Note: there are some discrepancies between the Arcade Fire tour dates listed at the top of the page and the ones below.)
